Miguel Martin M. is a distinguished Laboratory Subject Matter Expert with nearly four decades of experience in clinical laboratory medicine, research, and global biosafety leadership. A licensed physician since 1986 specializing in anatomic and clinical pathology, with a subspecialty in electron microscopy, he has significantly contributed to the healthcare, government, and academic sectors in the Philippines and internationally. As Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Federation of Biosafety Associations (IFBA), he provides strategic direction for biosafety, biosecurity, and biorisk management initiatives worldwide. He is the founder and president of the BioRisk Association of the Philippines 2015, Inc., and has advised on laboratory infrastructure, biosafety systems, and operational readiness for major hospital and governmental projects. Dr. M. is recognized for leading national and international training, developing quality systems, and integrating biorisk management and laboratory design standards into critical laboratory operations.
