Azure Data Architect

As an Azure Data Architect, you'll have the unique opportunity to work remotely and leverage your extensive experience in data architecture while focusing on the Azure Data stack. If you have a proven track record of over 15 years in data architecture and at least 8 years specifically with technologies like Azure Databricks, ADLS, ADF, Pyspark, and Unity Catalog, we want to hear from you!

Expected Outcomes

• Design and implement robust data architecture solutions that enhance data accessibility and usability across the organization.
• Drive the integration of Azure Databricks and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) to optimize data processing and storage efficiency.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) to ensure seamless data flow and transformation.
• Leverage Pyspark for scalable data processing to support analytics and machine learning initiatives.
• Establish best practices and governance for data management using Unity Catalog to ensure data integrity and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data architecture strategies with business objectives, fostering a data-driven culture.
• Mentor and guide junior architects and data engineers, building a high-performing data team.
• Identify opportunities for automation and optimization within the data architecture to reduce operational costs and improve performance.

Prerequisites

Minimum 15 years of experience in Data Architecture, 8 years of hands-on experience with Azure Data stack (Azure Databricks, ADLS, ADF, Pyspark, Unity Catalog), deep understanding of data modeling and database design, expertise in cloud-based data solutions, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
