Terms of Service
1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Online Jobs Media LLC ("Online.Jobs," "Company," "we," "us," or "our") regarding your access to and use of online.jobs and the related services, features, communications, and applications (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account, accessing, purchasing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a company or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use the Service.
Our Privacy Policy, Payment and Billing Policy, and any additional terms presented for a particular feature or program are incorporated into these Terms. If specific program terms conflict with these Terms, the specific program terms control only for that program.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use the Service.
You agree to:
- provide accurate, current, and complete account information;
- keep your account information up to date;
- maintain the confidentiality of your password and account credentials;
- promptly notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization; and
- accept responsibility for activity performed through your account, except where prohibited by law.
You may not create an account using another person's identity or create accounts for fraudulent, misleading, abusive, or rule-avoidance purposes.
Employers may not create multiple accounts to bypass restrictions, duplicate job postings, avoid payment obligations, mislead applicants, or circumvent platform limits. Multiple accounts may be permitted where there is a legitimate business need and Online.Jobs has approved them.
3. Role of Online.Jobs
Online.Jobs provides a global job board and talent marketplace that helps Jobseekers and Employers discover and communicate with one another.
Online.Jobs is not:
- an employer;
- an employment agency, staffing agency, or recruitment firm;
- an employer of record;
- a party to any employment, contractor, freelance, or service agreement between users;
- a payroll, wage-payment, or escrow provider; or
- responsible for supervising work performed between users.
Employers and Jobseekers communicate and enter into agreements directly. They are responsible for negotiating compensation, payment methods, working hours, deliverables, employment or contractor status, taxes, benefits, and all other terms of their relationship.
Online.Jobs does not guarantee that an Employer will hire a Jobseeker, that a Jobseeker will accept an offer, or that any employment or working relationship will be successful.
4. Jobseeker Responsibilities
Jobseekers must ensure that their profiles, résumés, applications, experience, skills, qualifications, and other submitted information are accurate and not misleading.
Jobseekers represent that they have the necessary rights to upload and share their content.
Jobseekers are responsible for:
- reviewing and correcting AI-generated profile or application content;
- independently evaluating Employers and job opportunities;
- avoiding unnecessary disclosure of highly sensitive information;
- confirming compensation, duties, payment arrangements, and contractual terms before beginning work; and
- complying with applicable tax, immigration, work-authorization, professional licensing, and contractual obligations.
Jobseekers must not pay an Employer or another user for the promise of employment, access to a job, required equipment supplied through an unknown seller, or the release of supposed wages.
Online.Jobs does not currently charge Jobseekers a placement fee to apply for jobs through the Service.
5. Employer Responsibilities
Employers represent that they are authorized to act for the company or organization identified in their account and job postings.
Employers must:
- post genuine and lawful job opportunities;
- provide accurate information about the company, position, responsibilities, compensation, work arrangement, location requirements, and employment or contractor status;
- comply with applicable employment, labor, anti-discrimination, accessibility, immigration, tax, privacy, and consumer-protection laws;
- use applicant information only for legitimate recruitment and hiring purposes;
- independently assess a candidate's identity, qualifications, references, suitability, and right to work;
- pay workers as agreed; and
- provide any contracts, disclosures, benefits, insurance, payroll, tax documentation, or workplace protections required by law.
Employers may not:
- charge applicants recruitment, application, training, processing, or placement fees;
- request unpaid trial work that produces commercial value, except where lawful and clearly agreed;
- publish misleading or discriminatory job advertisements;
- misrepresent compensation or omit material compensation information;
- advertise illegal, fraudulent, pyramid, money-transfer, reshipping, or deceptive opportunities;
- harvest, resell, or misuse candidate information; or
- contact users for unrelated advertising or spam.
6. Referral and Affiliate Programs
Participation in an Online.Jobs referral, reward, or affiliate program may be subject to additional program-specific terms, eligibility rules, fraud controls, holding periods, and payout requirements.
The Refer-an-Employer Program is also governed by the Refer-an-Employer Program Terms and Conditions.
Users participating in referral or affiliate programs may not use spam, misleading advertising, impersonation, self-referrals, fake accounts, unauthorized trademark use, or any method intended to manipulate attribution, rewards, or platform controls.
7. Profiles, Job Posts, Applications, and Communications
Job posts and portions of Jobseeker profiles may be publicly accessible and may appear in search engines, platform search results, or other public areas of the Service.
The visibility of résumés, contact details, profile sections, and other information may depend on account settings, platform features, and the access available to the viewing Employer.
When a Jobseeker submits an application, the application information is shared with the relevant Employer. Messages and other communications are shared with their intended recipients.
Users should not submit information they do not want the relevant audience to receive. Public content should not be treated as confidential.
8. AI and Automated Features
Online.Jobs uses artificial intelligence and automated tools for features that may include:
- generating draft Jobseeker profile content from uploaded résumés or documents;
- generating or improving draft job descriptions;
- analyzing applications and relevant experience;
- producing application quality scores, summaries, or classifications;
- detecting suspicious, duplicated, low-quality, or potentially abusive content; and
- assisting with content moderation, fraud prevention, organization, routing, prioritization, and display.
AI-generated or automated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, or unsuitable for a particular purpose.
Automated assessments may affect how an application is categorized, prioritized, routed, or displayed within the Service. They do not make the Employer's final hiring decision. Employers remain responsible for reviewing candidates and making lawful hiring decisions.
Users are responsible for reviewing and correcting AI-generated content before relying on or publishing it.
Online.Jobs does not use User Content to train generalized artificial intelligence models.
9. Safety, Verification, and Moderation
Online.Jobs may use automated and manual measures to:
- verify identity information;
- review accounts and job postings;
- calculate fraud or abuse risk;
- detect duplicate or related accounts;
- identify suspicious applications or communications;
- moderate content; and
- enforce these Terms.
These measures are limited and may not identify every false identity, scam, illegal job, unqualified candidate, or harmful user.
An identity verification indicator or other platform status is not an endorsement, comprehensive background check, guarantee of identity, or guarantee that a user is trustworthy or qualified.
Online.Jobs may reject, remove, restrict, hide, suspend, or terminate content or accounts where we reasonably believe there is fraud, abuse, unlawful activity, risk to users, or a violation of these Terms.
10. Prohibited Conduct
You may not:
- submit false, misleading, fraudulent, discriminatory, illegal, or harmful content;
- impersonate another person, company, or organization;
- harass, threaten, abuse, discriminate against, or spam another user;
- distribute malware, malicious links, phishing content, or fraudulent payment requests;
- request passwords, authentication codes, or unnecessary financial or identity information;
- scrape, crawl, copy, harvest, or collect platform data through unauthorized automated means;
- use bots or automated tools without our written permission;
- circumvent access controls, application limits, subscription limits, moderation, or security measures;
- sell, transfer, share, or resell account credentials or platform access;
- interfere with the operation or security of the Service;
- reverse engineer the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- use candidate information to build unrelated databases or marketing lists; or
- assist another person in performing prohibited conduct.
11. Subscriptions, Billing, Cancellation, and Refunds
Certain Employer features, usage levels, and recruitment tools require a paid subscription or other paid purchase.
Payments are currently processed by Stripe. Online.Jobs does not store full payment-card numbers on its servers.
Subscription prices, billing periods, included features, usage limits, and applicable taxes are shown before checkout.
Subscriptions may be offered on monthly or annual billing cycles. Unless otherwise disclosed at checkout, subscriptions:
- are billed in advance;
- automatically renew for the selected billing period;
- continue renewing until canceled; and
- are charged to the payment method provided at checkout.
By purchasing a subscription, you authorize the applicable recurring charges shown at checkout.
You may cancel an active subscription through your account settings. Cancellation stops future renewal. Paid access remains available until the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated.
Online.Jobs does not provide prorated refunds or credits for mid-cycle cancellations, unused time, downgrades, or unused features, except where required by law.
Online.Jobs offers a 30-day money-back guarantee for an eligible first-time purchase. To request a refund, contact [email protected] within 30 days after the initial purchase.
The 30-day guarantee does not apply to:
- subscription renewals;
- subsequent purchases;
- accounts suspended or terminated for fraud, spam, abuse, or other violations of these Terms; or
- circumstances excluded in the Payment and Billing Policy.
Additional billing and refund conditions are described in the Payment and Billing Policy. Where that policy conflicts with this section on a billing-specific issue, the Payment and Billing Policy controls.
We may change prices or paid features prospectively. Where reasonably practicable, we will provide notice before a price change affects a future renewal.
12. Payments Between Employers and Jobseekers
Online.Jobs does not process salaries, wages, contractor payments, milestone payments, or other compensation between Employers and Jobseekers.
Employers and Jobseekers are responsible for selecting their payment method, documenting their agreement, paying applicable taxes and fees, and resolving payment disputes between themselves.
Online.Jobs is not responsible for unpaid wages, chargebacks, payment delays, classification disputes, or breaches of agreements between users.
13. User Content and License
"User Content" means content submitted, uploaded, published, or transmitted by a user, including profiles, résumés, documents, portfolio materials, job posts, applications, messages, company information, images, and videos.
You retain ownership of your User Content.
You represent that:
- you own the User Content or have permission to use and submit it;
- the User Content does not infringe another person's rights; and
- submitting the User Content does not violate a law or contractual obligation.
You grant Online.Jobs a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, technically modify, display, transmit, and make User Content available to the audiences and service providers necessary to operate, secure, improve, and provide the Service.
This license allows Online.Jobs to use infrastructure and service providers on our behalf, including cloud hosting and storage providers.
This license does not permit Online.Jobs to use User Content to train generalized AI models.
The license ends when the relevant content or account is deleted, except to the extent that continued retention is reasonably required for backups, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, disputes, accounting, or content previously shared with another user.
You should retain your own copies of important documents and content.
14. Online.Jobs Intellectual Property and Copyright Complaints
The Service, including its software, design, logos, trademarks, text, graphics, features, and platform content, is owned by or licensed to Online Jobs Media LLC and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
These Terms do not transfer ownership of the Service or Online.Jobs intellectual property to you.
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright or other intellectual-property rights, contact [email protected] and provide:
- your contact information;
- identification of the protected work;
- identification and location of the allegedly infringing content;
- a statement explaining your claim; and
- any supporting documentation reasonably necessary to evaluate it.
If you provide suggestions or feedback about the Service, you authorize us to use that feedback without restriction or compensation, provided that we do not publicly identify you without permission.
15. Third-Party Services and Links
The Service may rely on or link to third-party services, including payment processors, cloud infrastructure, communications providers, analytics services, live-chat providers, automation tools, and AI providers.
Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Online.Jobs is not responsible for third-party websites, services, content, or actions outside our reasonable control.
16. Account Closure, Suspension, and Termination
Jobseekers may delete their accounts through available account settings.
Employers and Affiliates may request account closure by contacting [email protected]. Certain records may be retained where reasonably necessary for billing, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, disputes, enforcement, security, or legal compliance, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Online.Jobs may suspend, restrict, or terminate an account, job post, application, message, or other content if we reasonably believe that:
- these Terms have been violated;
- the account creates a security, fraud, legal, or user-safety risk;
- payment obligations remain unresolved;
- continued operation could harm the Service or another person; or
- suspension or termination is required by law.
Where appropriate, Online.Jobs may act without prior notice.
Termination does not remove obligations or liabilities that arose before termination. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
17. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available."
Online.Jobs does not warrant that:
- the Service will always be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free;
- all User Content is accurate or lawful;
- every user is correctly identified;
- an Employer, Jobseeker, job post, or opportunity is legitimate;
- automated or AI-generated outputs are accurate or unbiased;
- any application will be reviewed;
- any user will receive an interview, offer, candidate response, employment, or business result; or
- disputes between users will be resolved by Online.Jobs.
Users are responsible for conducting their own due diligence and exercising appropriate caution before sharing sensitive information, making payments, accepting work, hiring, or entering into an agreement.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some exclusions may not apply to you.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Online Jobs Media LLC and its officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, lost data, loss of goodwill, or reputational harm arising from or related to the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising from or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of:
- the amount you paid directly to Online.Jobs during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or
- USD 100.
These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or to liability arising from our fraud, willful misconduct, or gross negligence where such exclusions are prohibited.
19. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, business users and users acting in a commercial capacity agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Online Jobs Media LLC and its officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising from:
- their User Content;
- their job posts, hiring activity, employment or contractor relationships;
- their misuse of candidate or Employer information;
- their violation of these Terms;
- their violation of applicable law; or
- their infringement of another person's rights.
This section does not require a consumer to indemnify Online.Jobs where such an obligation is prohibited by applicable law.
20. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Subject to any mandatory rights available under applicable law, disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought in the state or federal courts having jurisdiction over Sheridan County, Wyoming. You and Online.Jobs consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
If you are a consumer and the law of your residence provides mandatory protections or a non-waivable right to bring a claim elsewhere, this section does not remove those rights.
21. Changes to the Service and Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service.
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, our practices, applicable law, security requirements, or business operations.
The updated Terms will include a new "Last Updated" date. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice through the Service, by email, or through another appropriate method.
Changes apply from the stated effective date. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, except where applicable law requires separate consent.
22. General Terms
These Terms and the policies incorporated into them constitute the entire agreement between you and Online.Jobs regarding the Service.
If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of that provision.
You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, sale of assets, or transfer of the Service.
Headings are provided for convenience and do not affect interpretation.
Electronic communications and notices satisfy any legal requirement that communications be in writing, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
