About the role

2DC is a boutique Australian digital agency with an established Philippines team. We're looking for a detail-oriented content migration specialist to support a major rebuild project for a major Australian membership organisation. This is a focused 6-week engagement during the migration window of our project — clear scope, clear targets, real production work.

You'll be moving approximately 5,000 URLs of content from Squiz Matrix into Umbraco across nine sites (a national hub plus eight state and territory branches), working alongside our content and SEO leads.

Role: Content Migration Specialist (Contract)

Engagement: Independent contractor — 6 weeks fixed term

Period: 10 August – 18 September 2026

Hours: Approximately 250 hours (~40 hours per week)

Rate: AUD $19/hr negotiable based on experience (approx. PHP 720/hr at current rates)

Payment: Via direct transfer in AUD or PHP

Location: Fully remote

Working hours: Overlap at least 4 hours daily with AEST business hours (PH is 2-3 hours behind AEST)

Start date: 10 August 2026

About the project

We're delivering a full website redevelopment for a major Australian membership organisation. The website covers a national hub plus eight state and territory branch sites on Umbraco 14+. You'll be joining the project at the migration phase, when content is being moved from the legacy Squiz Matrix CMS into the new Umbraco platform.

What you'll do

  • Migrate approximately 5,000 URLs of content from Squiz Matrix into Umbraco according to Keep / Rewrite / Delete / Archive classifications already defined by the content team.
  • Apply correct Umbraco document types, metadata, tagging, and member access tiers to each content item.
  • Format and clean content within the CMS — fix headings, link structures, image placement, and embedded media.
  • Re-link images and re-create asset references where source URLs change in the new structure.
  • Support redirect mapping by flagging URL changes to the SEO lead.
  • Run editorial QA against the original source pages and log any content gaps or rewrite needs.
  • Track migration progress in ClickUp against an agreed daily throughput target.
  • Pair with the website QA team to fix content-related issues found during testing.

Must have

  • Minimum 2 years professional content migration or content production experience.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one enterprise CMS (Umbraco, Sitecore, Drupal, WordPress, Squiz, AEM, Kentico, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail; comfortable with high-volume, repetitive production work and consistent daily throughput targets.
  • Comfortable with HTML and basic CSS for cleaning legacy content.
  • Strong written English; able to spot formatting, copy, and metadata issues during migration.
  • Comfortable working in a structured ticketing workflow (ClickUp, Jira, Asana, or similar).
  • Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional remote work setup.

Nice to have

  • Direct Umbraco experience.
  • Experience with Squiz Matrix as a source CMS.
  • Familiarity with Screaming Frog crawl outputs and URL mapping.
  • Experience working on multi-site or multi-tenant content architectures.
  • Familiarity with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards (alt text, heading hierarchy, link descriptions).
  • Prior experience working on Australian-client projects (familiarity with AEST working patterns and Australian English).

Why this role

  • Clear, focused 6-week engagement — well-defined scope, clear daily targets, no scope creep.
  • Real production work on a substantial multi-site project.
  • Direct collaboration with the content and SEO leads.
  • Possible follow-on engagements with 2DC for the right candidate.

How to apply

Email [email protected] with the subject line 'Content Migration Specialist — Philippines'. Please include your CV in English, the largest content migration you've personally worked on (volume, source CMS, target CMS), and a sentence or two on your typical daily throughput. Applications close 18 July 2026.
