ROLE: Interpretation Support - Mandarin/Cantonese speakers (Work From Home)

📌 Location: Remote (Malaysia)

✅ Total Salary: RM 4,500 - RM 5,000 

    Night shift allowance: RM 25 per night *22 working days = RM 550

    KPI Allowance: Based on performance

    WIFI Allowance: RM 150 per month

✅Language: Fluent Mandarin or Cantonese + English

✅Headcounts: 10

✅Work hour: Working hours: 9PM to 6 AM / 10 PM to 7 AM (5 days per week - Monday to Friday) Saturday & Sunday Off.

✅Shifts: Permanent night shift , shift allowances provided

✅Contract: This is 6 months + 1 year contract role (Renewable)

✅This is on call live Interpretation role.

✅Joining Date: ASAP

✅Education: High School Graduate, Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree

✅Type of role: Interpretation support between doctors and patients based in the US

✅Experience range: Any experience (we can consider a mix of fresher’s/experienced translators/CS candidates)

✅Job Summary

This position provides accurate, real-time Over-the-Phone consecutive interpretation in a first-person style. The interpreter facilitates communication between English speakers and Mandarin/Cantonese speakers across various industries.

✅Relevant Experience:

Candidate should preferably have experience in at least one of the following fields:

● Interpretation / Translation

● Healthcare industry

● Media / Journalism

● BPO / Contact Center / Customer Service

✅Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

● Provide accurate, meaning-for-meaning consecutive interpretation over the phone.

● Interpret in various sectors including medical, insurance, finance, emergency line, etc.

● Manage tone, pace, and professionalism during live calls

● Follow all interpreter protocols, company policies, confidentiality rules, and industry ethics.

✅Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

● Fluency in Mandarin/Cantonese and English (B2+/C1).

● Excellent listening skills and ability to interpret accurately.

● Strong understanding of cultural nuances and linguistic differences.

● Ability to adapt to multiple call types and rapidly changing scenarios.

● Calm, professional demeanor during emotionally intense or emergency calls.

● High accuracy, attention to detail, and consistency in interpretation.

● Ability to work independently and make sound decisions following established protocols.

● Strong commitment to confidentiality and data protection.

✅Benefits:

* Dental (Tooth extraction and filling) up to 500 USD per year (for each individual), for self, spouse & children – Claimable after completion of 90 days

* Dental (Scaling) up to USD 50 per year (for each individual), for self, spouse & children – Claimable after completion of 90 days

* Annual Leave 10 days for first 2 years, 12 days after completion of 2 years (prorated).

* Medical Leave as per Labor law - 14 days.

* Bereavement leaves – 3 working days in an event of death in the immediate family (Spouse, Children, parents).

* Maternity Leave – for 98 consecutive days for female associate. To start not earlier than 30 days from the expected due date, or post the due date.
