We are seeking a Full-Time Remote Video Editor to join our growing creative production company based in Japan. This position is ideal for a professional with a strong understanding of content creation who can enhance video projects independently and creatively.
What You'll Do
- Edit engaging short form videos for platforms like Instagram and TikTok, focusing on various industries including automotive, food, and lifestyle.
- Review raw footage to identify the strongest moments and improve hooks, pacing, story structure, music, and sound design.
- Colour correct and grade Sony S Log3 and S Cinetone footage to ensure high-quality outputs.
- Utilize motion graphics and sound effects to enhance content while adhering to client guidelines.
- Deliver organized project files and meet deadlines consistently, with first drafts due within 48 hours of receiving materials.
- Handle revision feedback accurately, typically within 1-2 rounds, while learning each client’s audience and editing preferences.
What You Bring
- Strong professional experience editing short form content with a focus on storytelling and audience engagement.
- Advanced skills in DaVinci Resolve and working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- Proven ability to edit and colour grade Sony S Log3 and S Cinetone footage.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and file organization, with a reliable approach to a 48-hour first draft schedule.
- Basic Japanese listening ability is an advantage but not required.
