Build Our Australia Business from Day One | GM / Country Manager (AU)

We are a leading China-based smart hardware company expanding globally with innovative home and outdoor solutions. After strong growth in multiple markets, we are now establishing our Australia subsidiary — and we’re looking for the leader who will build it from scratch.
This is not just a sales role. You will be the architect of our Australia operations, combining market expansion, channel development, inventory planning, and long-term strategy.
The Role: What You Will Do
As the Australia General Manager / Country Lead, you will:
Set up and lead the Australia entity from day one (legal, team, operations).
Own both sales & operations: revenue growth, channel partnerships, and local inventory management (“stock & supply planning”).
Develop and manage relationships with pool & outdoor retailers, distributors, installers, and service partners.
Align closely with HQ in China on product strategy, pricing, and long-term direction.
Build a local brand presence that balances growth + profitability.
Who We’re Looking For
We want someone who can act as a local CEO in Australia.
Must-haves
Based in Australia, with deep understanding of local retail & distribution channels.
Strong network in the pool, spa, or outdoor lifestyle industry.
Track record in sales + P&L ownership — this role blends commercial and operational thinking.
Comfortable working cross-culturally with HQ leadership in China.
Nice-to-haves
Background in smart home, IoT, HVAC, or energy-related products (heat pumps, etc.).
Experience managing installation/service-oriented products (even if your main focus is non-installation categories).
Prior experience building a subsidiary or new market from zero.
