We are seeking a Social Media Manager and Video Editor (Virtual Assistant) to join our team in a Remote capacity. This role is ideal for a creative and organized individual who is passionate about social media and video content creation. What You'll Do
Social Media Management
- Manage and organize content across multiple social media platforms
- Schedule and publish posts consistently
- Create and maintain content calendars
- Write engaging and platform-appropriate captions
- Repurpose content for different platforms
- Monitor basic engagement, comments, and messages when needed
- Research social media trends, content ideas, and competitors
- Ensure branding and messaging remain consistent across platforms
- Organize content assets, including videos, photos, and graphics
Video Editing
- Edit short-form videos using CapCut
- Create content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other platforms
- Add captions, text overlays, transitions, music, and basic effects
- Trim and repurpose longer videos into short-form content
- Follow an established editing style and brand guidelines
- Create simple thumbnail or cover designs when needed
Content Support
- Assist with brainstorming content ideas
- Help prepare social media posts and campaigns
- Create simple graphics using Canva
- Research trending topics relevant to the industry
- Help track content performance and engagement
Required Skills
We are looking for someone who is:
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Creative and knowledgeable about social media
- Familiar with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube
- Experienced with social media scheduling and content management
- Comfortable writing captions in English
- Skilled in CapCut for short-form video editing
- Familiar with Canva
- Able to follow brand guidelines and content instructions
- Able to work independently and manage deadlines
- Flexible and willing to learn new systems and tools
- Proactive and reliable
Nice to Have
Previous experience managing business social media accounts
Experience creating content for service-based businesses
Understanding of short-form video trends
Experience repurposing one piece of content across multiple platforms
Basic understanding of social media analytics
