Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Patient Service Representative (PSR) to join our fastpaced

urology clinic. The ideal candidate will have prior experience scheduling within a urology practice,

strong communication skills, and a patient-first mindset. This role is critical in ensuring a smooth patient

experience from initial contact through appointment coordination.


Key Responsibilities:

 Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments for urology services, procedures, and

follow-ups

 Manage high call volumes while maintaining professionalism and efficiency

 Accurately collect and update patient demographics, insurance, and referral information

 Coordinate with providers and clinical staff to ensure proper scheduling based on medical

necessity and provider availability

 Verify insurance eligibility and obtain required authorizations when needed

 Provide clear instructions to patients regarding appointments, procedures, and preparation

requirements

 Address patient inquiries, concerns, and requests with empathy and professionalism

 Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system

 Ensure compliance with HIPAA and clinic policies


Qualifications:

 Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Patient Service Representative or similar front-office role

in a urology clinic

 Proven experience scheduling urology appointments, procedures, and diagnostics

 Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)

 Strong phone presence with the ability to handle high-volume call environments

 Clear, confident, and professional communicator

 Demonstrated ability to provide empathetic, patient-centered customer service

 Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

 Experience using ModMed (Modernizing Medicine) EMR

 Familiarity with urology-specific terminology, workflows, and procedures

 Experience working with insurance verification, referrals, and prior authorizations
