Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Patient Service Representative (PSR) to join our fastpaced
urology clinic. The ideal candidate will have prior experience scheduling within a urology practice,
strong communication skills, and a patient-first mindset. This role is critical in ensuring a smooth patient
experience from initial contact through appointment coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments for urology services, procedures, and
follow-ups
Manage high call volumes while maintaining professionalism and efficiency
Accurately collect and update patient demographics, insurance, and referral information
Coordinate with providers and clinical staff to ensure proper scheduling based on medical
necessity and provider availability
Verify insurance eligibility and obtain required authorizations when needed
Provide clear instructions to patients regarding appointments, procedures, and preparation
requirements
Address patient inquiries, concerns, and requests with empathy and professionalism
Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and clinic policies
Qualifications:
Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Patient Service Representative or similar front-office role
in a urology clinic
Proven experience scheduling urology appointments, procedures, and diagnostics
Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong phone presence with the ability to handle high-volume call environments
Clear, confident, and professional communicator
Demonstrated ability to provide empathetic, patient-centered customer service
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using ModMed (Modernizing Medicine) EMR
Familiarity with urology-specific terminology, workflows, and procedures
Experience working with insurance verification, referrals, and prior authorizations
