About the Role
We are hiring a full-time remote Pre-Construction Termite Management Estimator for an Australian termite management consultancy.
This is a specialist technical estimating role and is not suitable for general Virtual Assistants or general construction estimators without direct termite management experience.
The successful candidate must have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Australian pre-construction termite management, including proven experience working on both residential and commercial projects.
What You'll Do
- Review Australian architectural and construction plans and project documentation.
- Prepare accurate pre-construction termite management estimates.
- Complete detailed quantity takeoffs from building and architectural plans.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and scopes of work.
- Complete digital plan markups based on project requirements.
- Identify and quantify pre-construction termite management requirements.
- Prepare estimates using plans, project information, quantities, and client requirements.
- Review completed estimates and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation.
- Manage multiple projects while meeting required turnaround times.
- Work closely with the internal team to clarify project information when required.
- Follow established estimating processes, templates, and procedures.
What You Bring
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in Australian pre-construction termite management.
- Proven experience with both Australian residential and commercial projects.
- Previous experience preparing termite management estimates, quantity takeoffs, BOQs, and scopes of work.
- Strong ability to read and interpret Australian architectural and construction plans.
- Strong understanding of Australian pre-construction termite management requirements and processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
Software Experience
Experience with estimating, quantity takeoff, or plan-markup software is highly desirable.
Experience with GroundPlan is an advantage. However, candidates with experience using similar software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, CostX, Buildxact, AutoCAD, or other estimating and quantity takeoff software will also be considered.
