SOKO Designs

Job Overview

About us: SOKO Designs is a fast-moving drafting and permitting firm in Arizona. We turn around permit-ready construction documents quickly and coordinate tightly between design and construction. We are NOT a traditional architecture firm — we move fast and get projects approved and built.

The role: Own the day-to-day movement of 15–30 active projects. You'll keep every project advancing, communicate with clients, architects, and city building departments, quality-check drawing sets, and jump into AutoCAD/Revit to fix redlines when needed. You are the engine that keeps nothing from stalling.

You'll:

  • Run our project board daily and make sure every project has a clear next step
  • Communicate with US clients by email, phone, and video
  • Coordinate with architects and drafters; follow up and keep deadlines on track
  • Submit and chase permits through city portals; draft resubmittal response letters
  • QC construction document sets before they go to the city
  • Do light drafting/redline corrections in AutoCAD/Revit
  • Keep our project tracker (Monday.com) meticulously updated

You are:

  • A licensed architect (foreign license fine) with 4+ years at a US-facing firm
  • Fluent in spoken and written English — confident on calls with US clients and cities
  • Familiar with US codes (IBC/IRC) and reading city correction letters
  • Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit a plus)
  • Comfortable using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) to work faster — or eager to learn
  • Extremely organized, proactive, and self-managing
  • Equipped with fast/backup internet and a quiet space for calls

Hours: Fixed schedule, 10:00am–7:00pm Arizona time (Mountain) = ~1:00am–10:00am Philippines time. This is a permanent overnight role — please only apply if that works for you long-term.

Compensation: Starts at $1,500/mo (full-time contractor) for a 90-day paid trial, converting to ~$2,000/mo on success, plus bonuses on on-time permit approvals.

To apply: Send your resume, a portfolio/sample of CD work you've coordinated, and a 1–2 minute video introducing yourself and describing a project you personally kept from falling apart.
