Open to offers

Job Overview

2DC is a boutique Australian digital agency with an established Philippines team. We're hiring an additional senior Umbraco full-stack developer for a 5-month contract on one of our largest projects of 2026 — a complete digital rebuild for a major Australian membership organisation.

This is a long-form, well-scoped engagement with a fixed launch date and a stable team. You'll be working alongside Filipino colleagues already on the project, our Australia-based team, and our UK-based contractors.

Role: Senior Umbraco Full-Stack Developer

Engagement: Independent contractor — 20 weeks fixed term

Period: 13 July – 27 November 2026

Hours: Approximately 520 hours total (~26 hours per week average)

Rate: AUD $19/hr negotiable based on experience (approx. PHP 720/hr at current rates)

Payment: Monthly via direct transfer in AUD or PHP

Location: Fully remote, based in the Philippines

Working hours: Overlap at least 4 hours daily with AEST business hours (PH is 2-3 hours behind AEST)

Start date: 13 July 2026

About the project

2DC is a boutique digital agency with offices in Australia, the Philippines, and the United Kingdom. We're delivering a full website redevelopment and a branded member app for a major Australian membership organisation. The build covers a national hub plus eight state and territory branch sites on Umbraco 14+, with 10+ enterprise integrations including Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Microsoft Entra ID SSO, EventsAir, Algolia AI Search, Stripe, NAB Transact, Zoom SDK, and DocuSign. The hard launch is locked at 27 November 2026.

What you'll do

- Build out custom document types, content models, and Razor templates in Umbraco 14+ across the national hub and eight branch sites.

- Implement frontend templates from Figma designs using Razor, semantic HTML, modern CSS, and progressive JavaScript.

- Implement backend integrations including Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Microsoft Entra ID SSO, Algolia AI Search, EventsAir, Stripe, NAB Transact and BPoint.

- Contribute to content delivery API endpoints consumed by the member mobile app.

- Write clean, testable C# and follow Australian data residency and WCAG 2.1 AA+ accessibility requirements.

- Pair with our QA team to debug, fix and harden ahead of UAT and launch.

- Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.

Must have

- Minimum 5 years professional .NET / C# experience.

- Minimum 3 years working in production with Umbraco (v10+ preferred, v14+ ideal).

- Demonstrated full-stack experience: backend (C# / .NET) and frontend (Razor, HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

- Multi-site Umbraco architecture experience.

- Hands-on integration experience with at least one of: Microsoft Dynamics 365, Entra ID / Azure AD, or enterprise payment gateways.

- Comfortable working in Azure-hosted environments with CI/CD pipelines.

- Strong written English; able to communicate clearly in async messaging and pull request reviews.

- Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional remote work setup.

- Based in the Philippines with the right to work as a freelancer (BIR-registered or willing to register)

Nice to have

- Umbraco Cloud experience and any Umbraco certification.

- Experience with Algolia, EventsAir, or DocuSign integrations.

- Background working on member-based associations, peak bodies, or government-adjacent organisations.

- WCAG 2.1 AA+ accessibility delivery experience.

- Experience with content migrations from Squiz Matrix or similar legacy CMS platforms.

- Prior experience working with Australian, UK, or US-based clients on long-form digital projects.

- Prior experience working on Australian-client projects (familiarity with AEST working patterns and Australian English).

Why this role

- Long-form, well-scoped engagement (20 weeks, fixed launch date) — not a stop-start project.

- Real full-stack work across backend, frontend, and integrations — not just one layer.

- Direct collaboration with the rest of the engineering team.

- Genuine technical complexity (10+ integrations, multi-site architecture, accessibility compliance).

- Possible extension into post-launch support and follow-on projects with 2DC.
