About the role
We produce a high volume of polished short-form videos (Instagram Reels) and are hiring an experienced short-form editor who can turn raw footage into dynamic, on-brand reels — following our editing SOP exactly, every time. This is an ongoing role with steady daily volume, ideal for someone who is precise, fast, and reliable.
What you'll do
- Edit short-form vertical videos (Reels, under 30 seconds) from raw footage + b-roll into finished, post-ready reels.
- Follow our locked editing SOP precisely — pacing, captions/subtitles, hook formatting, b-roll placement, covers, and CTA.
- Add dynamic elements — motion text, zooms, beat-matched cuts, graphics, and props — to keep reels engaging start to finish.
- Design simple reel covers to spec (consistent font, brand colors, minimal text).
- Apply revisions accurately and quickly when notes come back from our reviewer.
- Keep files organized and correctly named, delivered on schedule.
Volume & availability
- Average ~5 reels per day.
- Consistent weekday availability and reliable turnaround.
Must-have requirements
- Proven experience editing short-form vertical video (Reels / TikTok / Shorts) — portfolio required.
- Follows instructions exactly. We work from detailed SOPs; precision and consistency matter more than creative reinterpretation.
- Excellent written English — you'll read detailed notes and communicate clearly in writing.
- Strong sense of pacing, rhythm, and dynamic editing (motion, captions, hooks that hold attention).
- Proficient in CapCut (Premiere Pro / After Effects a plus); confident adding captions, b-roll, transitions, and text animation.
- Dependable and organized — meets daily deadlines without reminders.
Nice to have
- Experience with talking-head + b-roll "lesson"-style reels.
- Motion graphics / light animation skills.
- Familiarity with current Instagram Reels best practices.
How we work
- Every reel follows a locked SOP (format, length, captions, cover, CTA) — consistency is the job.
- A reviewer checks each reel; you apply revisions until it meets spec.
