Leris S. has extensive experience in the field of customs supervision, having served as the Encargada de Zonas Francas Comerciales y Especiales at the Dirección General De Aduanas, Aeropuerto Internacional La Romana from 2007 to 2021. She was responsible for overseeing establishments under customs custody, managing and controlling international sales data, and ensuring accurate duty collections. Her role included inspection and control of goods, warehouse coordination, and the management of transits, as well as the use of the SIGA system for document verification and inventory control. Leris holds a Master’s degree in Customs Management and Trade from the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo and a Bachelor’s in Accounting from Universidad Dominicana O&M, supplemented by studies in systems (informatics). Her technical competencies include document auditing and intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
