We’re looking for an experienced DTC video editor who can turn scripts and creative briefs into finished Meta ads for our beauty brand.
This is a part-time role with a fixed starting retainer of $500 per month. We’ll agree on a realistic scope and deliverables upfront. There is room to grow into a full-time position and eventually Head of Video Editing as the brand and creative team grow.
We need someone with substantial, demonstrable experience producing ads for ecommerce brands. This is not an entry-level editing role.
What you’ll own
You’ll handle video production and editing from start to finish, working from scripts and creative briefs supplied by the founders. This includes:
- Generating AI video assets and integrating them with existing footage.
- Creating visual hooks that earn attention in the first few seconds.
- Editing for pacing, clarity, and direct-response storytelling.
- Producing and integrating voiceovers, subtitles, music, and sound effects.
- Delivering finished ads and variations ready to launch on Meta.
- Flagging weak footage, unclear briefs, or opportunities to improve the creative before spending time and credits on production.
We want someone who understands why an ad works, beyond making it look polished. You should know how visuals support the hook, demonstrate the product, and keep viewers watching.
Required experience
- A strong portfolio of paid social video ads made for DTC ecommerce brands.
- At least one ad you personally worked on that received $10,000 or more in ad spend. Please provide supporting evidence and explain your exact contribution.
- Hands-on Higgsfield experience. This is a hard requirement.
- A practical understanding of AI video production, including prompting, consistency, iteration, and fixing unusable outputs.
- Efficient use of AI tokens and generation credits. You should know how to plan shots, choose suitable tools, and avoid wasting budget on unnecessary generations.
- Strong spoken and written English.
- A reliable internet connection and availability for calls.
- The ability to manage agreed deadlines and deliver finished work without constant follow-up.
Experience in beauty or skincare is a plus. Creative strategy experience is also welcome, but it is not mandatory.
How we’ll work together
You’ll work directly with the founders, who operate in the Amsterdam time zone. You can be based anywhere and choose your own working hours, provided we agree on delivery deadlines, communication expectations, and times for occasional calls.
We value proactive people who ask useful questions, suggest improvements, and take ownership of the final result. If something in a brief could work better, we want you to say so.
The starting budget is $500 per month for an agreed part-time workload. Please tell us what production volume you can realistically deliver at that budget, including revisions. Also specify whether AI tool subscriptions and generation credits would need to be covered separately.
