We are looking for a creative and dependable Social Media & Video Editor to help grow our online presence and turn raw content into engaging, polished videos and social media posts.
Position Overview
The Social Media & Video Editor will be responsible for editing short- and long-form video content and helping prepare content for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
The ideal candidate understands social media trends, storytelling, attention-grabbing hooks, captions, music, transitions, and how to repurpose one piece of content across multiple platforms.
Responsibilities
- Edit short-form videos for Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
- Edit longer YouTube videos, vlogs, tutorials, interviews, and podcast content.
- Turn raw video footage into polished, engaging content.
- Add captions/subtitles, music, transitions, graphics, sound effects, and other visual elements when appropriate.
- Create strong hooks and engaging openings to improve viewer retention.
- Resize and optimize videos for different social media platforms, including 9:16, 1:1, and 16:9 formats.
- Repurpose long-form videos into multiple short-form clips.
- Assist with creating thumbnails, cover images, and simple social media graphics.
- Help organize and maintain a social media content calendar.
- Write or assist with captions, hashtags, titles, and video descriptions.
- Schedule and/or prepare posts for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Stay updated on social media trends, popular editing styles, sounds, and content ideas.
- Maintain consistent Anela Creation Studio branding across content.
- Organize video files, photos, graphics, and completed content.
- Review content carefully for spelling, audio, video quality, and branding before publishing.
- Work directly with the owner to develop content ideas and execute the creative vision.

Qualifications
- Experience with video editing and social media content creation.
- Familiarity with editing software such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar.
- Experience with Canva is preferred.
- Understanding of TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube content formats.
- Good sense of storytelling, pacing, music, and visual presentation.
- Ability to create engaging short-form content from longer videos.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good written English and communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple pieces of content.
- Creative, organized, dependable, and open to feedback.
